The Leger building was a small wooden building built in Peppatown during the 1540s by the Native Peppish architect Bronhardt before his death around 1548. It is unknown what purpose this building served, although it probably served a military purpose. It was eventually demolished during the 18th century and was replaced by a house now known as 10 Compound Street in 1880.
